Soapbox Therapy is a column and a concept. Founded as a response to the stereotypes and judgments placed on therapeutic support, reaching out for help, and being honest about our lives and emotions, Soapbox Therapy combines loving your outside (including being proud of the joy that finding a pair of ass-fabulous jeans creates in your soul), yet still loving, respecting, and acknowledging the deliciousness of your inner world—it’s about being whole, for real.

 

The mission of Soapbox Therapy is a 3 step process: learn your story, love yourself, and launch your life. Through advice columns, psychologically intelligent commentary, workshops, events, countless support services and features including The Male-Box: Guy-centric soapbox services and The Soapdish: Advice for teens, Soapbox Therapy will change the world of emotional wellbeing, making self-discovery stylish and self-esteem sexy once and for all.

 

It’s not only about Brooke standing on her soapbox giving advice, it’s about readers standing up tall as well, giving themselves permission to be their authentic selves, ask tough questions, and unpack their stories…which is why there’s a section on the website for people to buy amazing shoes–because if you’re going to stand tall, you may as well do it in style…it’s the Soapbox way.
